Redirect your state tax liability to support the work of local Jewish organizations.

You can contribute to one or more qualified organizations through multiple dollar-for-dollar tax credit programs.

There are two ways to take advantage of these dollar-for-dollar tax credits:

Charitable Tax Credit

  • Provides assistance to low-income families
  • Contribute up to $800/joint or $400/individual
  • Beneficiary Agencies: JFCS, EVJCC, Gesher, JFL, & Kivel

Private School Tuition Tax Credit

  • Supports need-based scholarships in six Jewish Day Schools
  • Contribute up to $2,177/joint or $1,089 /individual
  • Beneficiary Agency: JTO*

* NOTICE: A school tuition organization cannot award, restrict or reserve scholarships solely on the basis of donor recommendation. A taxpayer may not claim a tax credit if the taxpayer agrees to swap donations with another taxpayer to benefit either taxpayer’s own dependent. The Jewish Tuition Organization does not accept donor recommendations.
All JTO scholarships are need-based.
